TRANSFORMERS REVIEW: WEIJIANG MPP10 OPTIMUS PRIME

For G1 Transformers fans, Optimus Prime is the character that fans will never forget. He is the leader of autobot, charismatic and the centerpiece of all autobot. Many toy producer has produce his figure in many line, but in my opinion, among all the best ever produced was Takara Tomy Masterpiece MP 1 and 10. It realy answer the fans want it long awaited figure. Now, Takara Tomy is not alone. Weijiang MPP10 is actually a perfect oversize copy of the famous Takara Tomy’s MP 10. Despite it is a non-license product, it give a better material quality: some parts is made of metal and the plastics quality is awesome.

Box and Unbox

Here are some pictures of the box of Weijiang MPP10 (c/o sgtoygeek.blogspot.com):

The box is covered by brown thick paper box. This product come with black box with optimus prime animation figure with weijiang logo on the top right of the box and also MPP10 on the bottom left. Inside the box we can find the Optimus Prime figure, 1 light saber, 1 shotgun, 1 human figure (spike), and 1 piece of the matrix.

Bot mode and Alt mode

The process to convert from robot mode to alt mode and vice versa is quite simple. Almost the same with Takara Tomy MP10 since weijiang MPP10 is an oversize perfect replica of it. The joint quality is good, stiff, and almost no loose at all.

Plastics/Material Quality

Plastic quality is good, the plastic is thick and some parts of it was made of metals: chess, and toe parts. I think this might be the best plastic quality for knock off product Transformers Toy. The paint job also great, some of the parts was paint in chrome, which makes it like luxury toys.

Articulation 

Head articulation is good, it can face up, down, right, and left. It has several joint in it hands:

For finger articulation, unfortunately only finger nail that has the free articulation. While it thumbs is fixed and can’t be moved. While the other three fingers are merged into one, but it has the articulation to hold the shotgun. 

Feet/Leg articulation is good, it can bend it knees, also it has joint in his ankles that make him able to do various posing. Here are some pictures of the feet:

Cartoon/Movie Accurate

This figure is very cartoon accurate. It also has great detail.

Final thought 

If you are a very fans of G1 Optimus Prime and you want a center piece for your Transformers, then, this is your must-have figure. It is very eye catching and because it oversize it will fit as the leader of other figure even though size wise it is not comparable with other Masterpiece G1 robots. (han/20160611).
